Dads Need Friends is a community, not a store. To help cover costs and fund projects started by dads in our Discord, some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This page explains what that means, in plain language, in line with the FTC's guidance on endorsements.
What an affiliate link is
When you click an affiliate link and buy something from the merchant, we may earn a small commission. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or not. The merchant pays the commission, not you.
Who we work with
Our affiliate links are managed through Sovrn Commerce, which connects us to merchants such as Amazon and other retailers. Links that may earn us a commission are marked as sponsored in the page code and are placed in sections labeled as recommendations, such as "Gear We Like" on the homepage.
How we choose what to recommend
We only recommend things we actually use or would buy ourselves. Nobody pays us to feature a product, and a merchant's affiliate program never decides what we write. If we recommend something, it is because we think it is worth your money.
Where the money goes
Commissions from these links go into a fund that supports members of our Discord who are building something of their own, pays for community events, and covers giveaways back to members. Dads Need Friends keeps none of it.
Tracking
Affiliate links may set a cookie so the merchant knows the sale came from us. We never see your name, address or payment details from those purchases. For details, and for how to opt out, see our Privacy Policy.
